MURDA ONE SOUND have been a staple in the reggae dancehall
community since 1994 where they are known for there “turbo
juggling” style of djing and exclusive remixes. They were
formed in NY where they helped Reggae Artist Bushman promote
his first single “Call The Hearse” , which went on to be one
of the biggest dancehall songs of that year. With it’s
talented DJ’s Fahda Q, Sinista, Finesse, Mr. Face, Steddie,
Red, DJ Clear, C-Dot Faze, Chief, Mr. Marley and J-Blaque
they’ve been able to consistently stay among the elite
Reggae Sound Systems in Florida & Atlanta. Over the past 11
years they’ve been featured with some of the top names in
the industry such as; Wyclef Jean, Bounty Killa, Fabolous,
DJ Clue, Stone Love, Green Lantern, Tony Matterhorn, Clinton
Sparks, MetroMedia, Poison Dart, King Addies, Adonai, Black
Chiney, Kid Capri, Beenie Seigel, Memphis Bleek, Baby Cham,
Lady Saw, T.O.K., Mr. Vegas, Sean Paul, Trick Daddy, T.I.,
Lil Flip, Richie Spice and Fat Joe.
In 1999,
M1 pioneered the influence of dancehall reggae through the
airwaves of central Florida. Partnering with 95live.com, an
internet radio station, their fan base quickly rose to the
millions as their weekly mix show, the “M1 Showcase”, was
broadcasted worldwide and rated as one of the top three
listened Reggae shows on Shoutcast.com.
In 2003, M1 sound earned Orlando’s Music Award for Best
Reggae DJ’s which further established the unit as an elite
sound that can play for any crowd. From reggae to “oldies”
and from Soca to Hip-Hop to Reggaeton, M1 obliterates
negative vibes and gives the people positive music to dance
and have fun to.
In 2004,
M1 Sound played for a crowd of 200,000 people at the Greater
Miami Mardi Gras, located in Miami, Florida. Sinista
represented the sound on a 10 city tour across the US and
Canada.
In 2005
M1 Sound returned to the Greater Miami Mardi Gras, playing
for a crowd of over 800,000. Now with factions in
Miami, Orlando and Atlanta, Murda One Sound is bringing
their brand of selecting to wider audiences.
Since
the introduction of the M1 Sound, the group has consistently
distributed 18 mix tapes & cd’s , beginning with STRICTLY
GUNSHOTS in 1994 to the present Remix Killa's Pt 1 and Pt 2
CD's. Each CD is a unique blend of music themed
with various movies. Each year their cd’s have continually
doubled and tripled in sales.
With the
induction of King Q into the
Core DJ's, Murda One Sound has proved it is in a class
by itself.
